Every equipment owner needs a program to maximise the financial investment they make in their equipment through efficiency and equipment life plus gaining the lowest possible ongoing costs. This is where FluidMasters have the products and services to assist you accomplish this goal.
FluidMasters have engaged worldwide industrial chemists to develop their products. Through comprehensive laboratory screening they have developed fluid management products that are a huge improvement on existing competitive products in the market place.
In February 1988 these products were introduced to farmers and after achieving exceptional results the company expanded its offerings to other industry groups which include marine and transport. As time has passed and technology improved, continuous research has seen these products fine-tuned and improved to where they are thought about by the company to be of the highest efficiency that current science is able to produce.
There are four areas to be looked after and managed. All of these locations need to be addressed as recommended in all maker’s equipment handbooks/manuals.
Products and Services.
Oil- Selecting the best viscocity.
The most important element of using the best oil for your equipment is to pick the appropriate oil viscosity. The directions for choosing the best oil for your machinery and equipment are detailed in your manufacturer’s handbook/manual.
Our Oil System maintenance products include:.
8-30 Multifunctional Oil Supplement – Maximises efficiency life of older fuel and diesel engines (Pre CJ4 oils), gear trains, gear boxes, last drive engine oils, differentials, lowers wear and corrosion, neutralises acids, avoids oxidation of oil, extends oil drain periods. NOTE: To be utilized in conjunction with engine oils before CJ4 standard ONLY.
Oil Flushing Concentrate – Specially developed mix of penetrates, lubricants and sludge dispersants developed for use in all petrol and diesel engines, gear trains, gear boxes, final drive differentials.
In addition we recommend and sell:.
ProtxL Oil Management System– Bypass Oil Filter.
CONOCO Oils and Lubricants.
The best oils and lubricants with the best purification systems means the best possible protection for your equipment.
Coolant and your engine.
The cooling system of any car is without a doubt the most important component of the whole machine. It is a reality that between 60 and 80% of engine and transmission failures are triggered by cooling system “malfunctions”. This has been an enormous cost to equipment owners and $1.5 billion dollars yearly is credited to this failure across Australia.
This is an enormous amount of money considering the fact that it could be minimized considerably (probably by 75%) by the installation of the appropriate cooling system products.
FluidMasters continuous dedication is to offer the absolute best cooling system products that can be produced. The products FluidMasters market were developed by the School of Chemical Engineering at the Western Australian Institute of Technology (Curtin University) in the early 1980’s by Dr Richie and his team developed a protectorate in addition to a flushing product.
FluidMasters have been marketing these products to their customer base since 1982 and in that time the two most typical and most harmful issues confronting the operator as far as the cooling system is concerned are “Cavitation Erosion” (Pit holes that drill through the cylinder liners) and “Electrolysis” (the destruction of alloys, i.e. cylinder heads etc). These two major issues have become a thing of the past for our customers with not one instance being recorded in over 26 years.
The design of cooling systems today is as it was in Henry Ford’s time, with really little changes. Water, a radiator and radiator hoses, fan belts, a radiator cap, and a water pump.
In engines today it is essential to secure complex alloy heads and multi valve systems. An alloy head is subjected to “electrolysis”, the disintegrating of alloy by electrical action of the engine. It is as though the engine is one huge “battery”. An alloy head can cost anywhere from $1000.00 to $6000.00.
Frightening idea but a reality, and still they go unguarded as owners take the suggestions of the repairer or the garage owner who sells them the incorrect or inadequate product for their equipment’s cooling systems. Remember, the retailer generally has little knowledge of the products he is selling.
So, why is it that FluidMasters can advise you on the appropriate products for this security? Because, we produce our products to perform as required by the maker. Regretfully though, MANY of OF the OEM engines cooling system protection just DO NOT WORK, or fail before the stated time of protection is reached.
Diesel Engine producers have increased engine running temperatures to improve engine performance. This means correct cooling system maintenance is specifically important. Getting too hot, overcooling, pitting, cavitation, erosion, broken heads, piston seizures, and plugged radiators are traditional cooling system failures.
Correct coolant choice and maintenance of the system is the owner’s choice and the best coolant is essential to successful engine service life. In fact, coolant is just as important as the quality of your fuel or lubricating oil.
FluidMasters supplies cooling system preventative maintenance products and services to assist you prevent the down-time & costly results of coolant-related engine/ transmission failures.
Gen XI Fuel Stabiliser and your engine.
Only distillate fuels that satisfy required specs will result in optimal engine efficiency and durability. All equipment and equipment operators require clean safe fuel if their equipment is to offer maximum efficiency.
Fuel properties and quality have an enormous impact on engine operation. Contamination generally is introduced during fuel handling, that is, transfer from the refinery to its last storage location might mean many fuel transfers and for that reason more opportunities of contamination.
Fuel quality can considerably affect the efficiency and maintenance of any diesel or fuel engine. Water can trigger extreme sludge and also trigger fuel pump damage in those fuel systems which use fuel oil to lubricate the pump.
Seawater is the greatest single source of fouling deposits and corrosion, specifically in heat locations of marine engines. Seawater can trigger fuel injector and piston ring groove deposits and wear in fuel system plunger and barrel assemblies.
Gen XI gets rid of water from fuel, fuel tanks, fuel lines and slows down fungal growth. The existence of water from condensation, seal leakage, etc can accelerate the destruction of the fuel, specifically if high sulphur levels exist. In diesel, water permits microorganism growth (eg: Hormoconis resinae and Cladisporium resinae). These “diesel bugs” feed on the fuel and propagate in the water and this triggers fuel destruction and filter/injector clogs.
Gen XI actually rids the system of water by encapsulating the water which in turn is concentrated into tiny microscopic droplets through the special chemicals in Gen XI. These droplets are then held in suspension within the fuel, finished the engines filter system and fuel pump where it is exhausted to the atmosphere as oxygen and hydrogen gasses. Also, any sulphur products are also encapsulated therefore preventing sulphurous acid damage to engine component parts. By neutralising the sulphur material of fuel, Gen XI Fuel Stabiliser will get rid of fuel issues and accomplish much better burn, amount to combustion, less emissions and greater efficiency.
The product also includes detergent dispersant aspects to not only clean but totally disperse with an arrangement of fluid suspension aspects.
Fuel consisting of Gen XI Fuel Stabiliser will remain high quality, appropriate viscosity, sulphur controlled and safe storage for extended periods. FluidMasters have facilities such as banks and Healthcare facilities with distillate in their emergency generators that have been in these units for over 20 years. This also offers the operator an opportunity to store fuel for extended periods and for that reason “hedge” against rising fuel costs. For long storage of fuel, we recommend that the Gen XI product be utilized at a mix rate of 30% more than recommended for regular use.
Pristine fuel is necessary for the well-being of your equipment. Western Australian-made Microlube fuel filters offer 100% performance at 1-micron ranking. That’s as near perfect as you are going to get. Bowser or fuel-tank fitting is regular with flow rates of 100 or 150 litres per minute being standard. Containing a washable filter, they are extremely effective and economical.
Microlube Filters (distributed by FluidMasters) are a range of economical, low-micron filters for the optimal elimination of suspended particles and general contaminates in industrial fluids and fuel. When utilized as a primary filter on a diesel installation it guarantees optimal fuel condition and regularly removes costly secondary filter obstruction.
Microlube’s innovative fuel purification systems are finding increasing approval among mining and earthmoving contractors, transport & oilfield operators, farmers and marine equipment owners.
Prevent damage to fuel pumps and injectors from little particles.
Microlube has developed a range of quality filter-systems which are developed to get rid of fungal particles, suspended particles, drop-out in diesel fuels and other particles such as sand, dust, sludge and excess water. The filters get rid of contaminants as little as one micron, using polyester needle-felt filter socks. Polyester needle felt is the most typical material utilized for these bags and is available in micron ratings of 1, 5, 100 and 150.
Microlube Technical Specifications.
Filtered contaminants are contained in the filter sock and eliminate the possibility of contamination, typical with cartridge-type filters, which leave contaminants in the filter housing.
How to pick a Microlube filter.
1. Select the unit size based on the flow rate adjusted for the viscosity of the fluid to be filtered.
2. Select the micron ranking of the bag to be fitted.
3. Select Port Position.
4. Select the design # – eg filter 100L/min of diesel down to 1 micron with basic port, select model MFH 100.
FluidMasters do not have specific products for a machines air system, as there are no fluids involved, but it is necessary to note that: Diesel and petrol engines digest literally numerous square meters of air to every litre of fuel burnt.
Tidy air filters result in a more efficiently running engine, leading to less effect on the environment. Lower costs are also the result of an effective air system, not to mention less downtime and loss of revenues.
